i cant stop

This animation suggests someone texting the sentence “i can’t stop.” The user interface was inspired by the iPhone as one of the most iconic pieces of technology. With this work I would like to recognize what technology is doing to us, how we are becoming addicted to it, and how we are trying to reject it.  In the end the message isn’t delivered because even though some people recognize their technology dependence as a negative some of them choose to embrace it or even neglect it. I chose the Beatles song “I’m so Tired” to complement the animation. Having to keep up with a social life both on and off the internet can be exhausting.
