This project is meant to exist in a dystopian world.  Nature has been destroyed due to humanities lack of action to preserve its’ beauty and resources.  I chose to create a product that would be placed in a room setting where a projection would be shown on a wall and the rug would be laced down in front of it.  The rug would be completely wireless and would interact seamlessly with the projection in front of it to create an artificial, immersive experience for the consumer.  Within this dystopian society one might mourn the environment that their grandparents or even great grandparents were able to experience with ease.  In this now Industrial world green mountains, damp forests, and beautiful shorelines are now non existent, however with this product one may be transported to a relaxing environment that used to be.  It is important for humans to maintain a relationship with nature and due to our ever growing quest for urbanization and technological innovation, the connection with the natural world that keeps us balanced is not longer in balance.  My creation is a product that will help bridge that gap in a world where humans have let the natural world disappear yet seek that natural balance to keep them sane although being surrounded by cement. 

I created a rug made from dyed bath mattes lay out in a modular way.The sensors are placed underneath it strategically enable to create different places to trigger different experiences.One will learn how to have certain experiences based on where they are on the rug and how they were sitting or standing.
